When I saw Winnie's name, it brought back a flood of memories when she was a teen & I was a young kid. Petuches were friends & neighbors of my family when I was growing up. Winnie was the same age as my older siblings, and I always admired that group as survivors of being a teen in the depression years. It was very hard for them and they came through as shining examples for the us all. My sympathies to you and your families.
