You have my heart-felt sympathy for the loss of your mother. May you find peace with time. Love and prayers to you and your family.

Name: Bob & Sherry Tiede
Relation: Friends of Theresa and Jimmy
The great comfort we have in the time of loss is in knowing that death does not have the last word. Jesus does! Jesus said, "I am the Resurrection and the Life..whoever lives and believes in Me will never die!" We rejoice in knowing that Marlene had placed her trust is Jesus! The scriptures say, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." I also love the scripture that says, "We grieve, but not as those who have know hope." God understands our grief--we are never told that our grief is a lack of faith--but we are encouraged to know that our grief is not hopeless--we have the sure hope of the Resurrection. Your whole family is in our prayers. May you all experience the comfort and peace of our Heavenly Father now and in the days to come. Love, Bob and Sherry Tiede Plano, Texas

To Earl, I would like you to know that even though I was never able to meet you or Marlene in person, I have continue to thank the Lord for you both. Theresa has been such a good friend and encourager to me over the years. I thanked God for the things you and Marlene gave to raise your family. I thanked God for what you invested into your kids and grandkids. I am so sad for your deep loss. I will be praying for you and the family...there are some things that only God can provide in the midst of sorrow and grief. The grief will still be there as there are moments that seem too much to bear, but God is able and faithful to carry us through that valley. Lean on Him during your toughest times, tell Him your thoughts and your needs, and please always remember that there are people out here who have not and will not forget about you and your family.

Dear Earl and family, I am so sad for your loss, and I know that it is hard to know you don't have your wife/mom to hold anymore. I've been praying for Marlene and you, Earl, for years now, as Theresa has faithfully lifted you up in her prayers and with her friends. I know that Marlene was at peace about resting in Jesus' arms after all that she's been through these past several years. I'm thankful that she gave her life to him and is now whole in mind and spirit, forever praising her savior, never to be in pain again! My prayer is that each of you will find peace in the midst of your grief - the unfathomable peace that only God can provide. Continuing prayer for you, Christi Norris

Name: Gina Ritter
Relation: Friend of Jimmy and Theresa
Even though I never met Marlene, Theresa shared with me the essence and joy of her mom throughout the years and I know Marlene had a loving heart! My mother and Marlene were both diagnosed with breast cancer in the same month and even though my own mother passed away a very short 8 months later, I'm so thankful for the years that Theresa and her family had with her mom. I know we don't know what God's reasons are, but I do know that everything we have or experience on earth, both good and bad, comes from God. There is a purpose for our trials and hardships whether we recognize this or not. Take comfort in prayer and the Lord. Many hugs, Gina

The Scott family is in my prayers. The more you love someone, the more the loss hurts. But that kind of love is a real treasure. May God hold you and comfort you in this time.

Name: Holly Spate
Relation: Theresa's friend
Dear Earl and family, I am a friend of Theresa's and wanted to send a note to express my heartfelt sympathy to you all. I know that we may not always understand all we face in life, but we can be certain one thing holds true--that God can be trusted in all things and His unconditional love will see us through any difficulty or loss we may face in this life. I am so thankful to God that Marlene put her trust, faith and life in Jesus, which has now placed her in the very presence of heaven and her Creator. For this we give praise to God and to the knowledge of His promise that those who love and put their trust in Jesus will one day be reunited to those who have gone ahead (John 3:16). May the Lord hold you all close, comfort you in His presence and bring you each peace both now and in the days to come. Sincerely, Holly Spate

Dear Mr. Scott and Family, I am very sorry for your loss. I met Mrs. Scott shortly after Joshua was born. I remember being struck by her strength, courage and resilience along with her love for Winnie the Pooh! I see these same character traits in Theresa and she has ministered to me greatly over the years. You and your family have been in my daily prayers for years and I will continue to ask our Lord to be your comforter and to bless you with a peace that passes all understanding. May you all be blessed with a wonderful family reunion in heaven! Melissa
