The Ridgdill family is sorry to hear of the passing of Bill Reed. We remember Bill as a young single man who lived in an apartment in back of my parent's (Paul and Mary Ridgdill) home. He was very kind and became their good friend. Later he and Annie Laurie remained friends and neighbors to them for many years. My favorite memory of him as a small child was his amusement at the nickname we had for him: Wumpy Reed, because of the sign in his yard that read, Wm. P. Reed. I will share the news of his passing with my parents today (ages 92 and 88) and I know they will talk about "the good old times".
