It saddens me to hear of Mike's passing. I had just been thinking about him these past few days. He used to come into the Beaver Library to read the newspaper and to chat with everyone. He loved to relate his experiences during the war and I enjoyed listening to them. I know he started writing them down so hopefully you have copies of what he experienced. I know how much he sadly missed Eleanor. His love for her showed during her bout with cancer. Mike used to make my 93 yr. old mother his famous rice pudding. She always enjoyed getting this from him. Mike was a wise, generous, loving person. I'll miss him very much. You were very blessed to have him. My condolances to your family. Vicki Teets Beaver Area Memorial Library

Relation: Best Friends -went to grade school thru college together
To the Mike's family: We just got a call today from Rosina Dobo about Mike's passing and we were very sad to hear. We were like brothers all through grade school, high school class of '43, and we both graduated from Duquesne University. We kept in touch through the years after we moved to Tennessee 40 years ago. We would always stop and see Mike & Eleanor at the restaurant when we came to town. We spoke to Mike periodically by phone after Eleanor died. We send our condolences to his beloved children and grand-children. We have so many great memories of our past. I'm sure he shared a lot of them with you. God bless you all.
