Vincent A. 'Jimmy' Daniels of MIDLAND
12/5/1926 - 3/5/2010Vincent A. "Jimmy" Daniels, 83, of Midland, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born Dec. 5, 1926, in Midland, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose DiFrancis Daniels and had been a resident of Midland all of his life. A member of the St. Blaise Parish family, Midland, he had retired from Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. Jimmy was a 1944 graduate of Lincoln High School, Midland, and was a member of the Midland American Legion.
Surviving is a brother, Neil and his wife, Genevieve Daniels, Industry; a sister, Catherine Daniels, with whom he resided; his nieces and nephews, Ginger Eisenbeis, Joe Pasquale, Marie Brauch, Geneil Hammerlee, Joseph Daniels, John Leli, and James Leli, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Carmen "Mimy" Daniels; two sisters, Lucy Leli and Clara Pasquale; a niece, Bernadette Tipton, and a great-nephew, Michael Eisenbeis.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 5 p.m. in the SCHWERHA-NOLL FUNERAL HOME, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Blaise Church by his pastor, Father Michael Yaksick.
Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery.
