Dorothymae Black Brown Dorothymae Black Brown, 85 of Cupertino, California, passed away March 19, 2010 at her daughter’s home in San Jose, CA, with her family at her side. Born March 25, 1924 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of Rexford Fletcher and Lillian Rosalee (Douthett) Black. She had attended Westminster College and Carnegie Technical Institute and graduated from San Jose State University and San Francisco State University. She was a speech pathologist in the education field for 20 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Brown, December 15, 1995, a sister, Caroline D. Black; and a brother, William Rexford Black. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Brown Robinson and husband, Walter Edward Robinson of San Jose, CA; a son, James Rexford Brown and wife, Mindy Brown of Boca Raton, FL; two brothers, Robert Black and his wife, Ruth Ellen of Yardley, PA and Richard Black and his wife, Betty of Mt. Lebanon, a sister, Mary Ellen Graham and her husband, Donza of Louisville, OH; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Black of Beaver; three granddaughters, Courtney Jeanne and Carrie Briana Robinson and Heather Ashley Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will gather for a memorial service at the Union Church of Cupertino on May 8th at 1:00 p.m. The family is asking that any donations be made to Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital or to the Union Church of Cupertino.
