I had been communicating with Robin on Facebook and I know how excited she was to be planning her visit to Peru. She shared her love of her cats and her "family" in Alabama. She loved the members of her church there. They were so important to her and she relished the friendships she made there.
We also chatted about her recent trip home to Beaver. We also discussed both of our recent knee surgeries and the frustration of physical therapy.
I wanted to express my condolences to her family in Beaver County although I could not be there in person.
God Bless you Robin -

Robin was a testimony to all of us about how to make changes for the better. Robin joined our bible study group 2 years ago. At that time she was about 75 pounds heavier and had just committed her life to Christ. Over the course of two years, she lost all that weight and grew MIGHTILY in her faith. She served weekly in our church and pursued several bible studies while trying to minister to those from AA. She had set her mind to doing what was right and good, and giving God the glory. She made it her business to make very difficult changes in her life. She lived out Romans 12:2"..Do not be conformed any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind..."

I remember Robin sitting patiently in our Bible Study listening to everyone talk about their children and husbands, and whatever else. She was always humble and kind and thoughtful. But, she would truly come alive when we talked about the scriptures. She was very excited to talk about the Word and what it meant to her and all of us. She was definitely an inspiration to so many. I rest assured that she is with our Lord today, in a place where joy abounds and there is no pain and suffering.

I knew Robin through a Bible study I started attending last September. I specifically remember the first time we met at our study, I sat next to her and we started chatting away by sharing tales about our dogs. Robin was truly an authentic person and I admired her greatly for that. It won’t be the same in our Bible study without her and she will be greatly missed.

I find it hard to believe that Robin is gone. She was a friend that I grew to truly admire over the two years I've known her. Robin was in my Bible Study on Tuesdays, and I will miss seeing her on a regular basis. I think she truly enjoyed learning more about the Bible and she contributed so much to our group. I loved her honesty and her lack of pretense. I had the priviledge of talking to Robin for hours during some of the her doctor visits and hospital stays. She was quite the trooper. I will cherish those times of conversation, and I am thankful for the priviledge of being her friend. I looked over at her usual spot in church this morning and felt selfishly sad that she was not sitting there. In spite of my sadness, I am so glad that she is made whole and at peace and with her heavenly Father today.

And that she did...make new friends! I am sad that Robin is no longer with us on earth, but I am so very excited that she is with our Lord, beginning her eternity without pain! Robin and I were in a Bible Study together on Tuesday mornings. I was always amazed that she never let her health stand in the way of being there! Even after her knee surgery, she was back in no time at all with her wonderful disposition and sense of humor. I never felt as though there was something I could not talk about with Robin. She always made me feel comfortable and loved. She was very knowledgeable about the bible and most of the time would make me take a step back and see things in a way I wouldn't have before. She had great advice and a way of making me feel capable of doing anything! She was a true inspiration to everyone she met and I will miss her very much.
