Rose Marie Pizzuti of VANPORT
12/20/1928 - 06/20/2010Rose Marie "Rosie" Pizzuti, 81, of Vanport, PA, passed away June 20, 2010, at Rochester Villa, following a brief illness.
Born December 20, 1928, in Blairsville, PA, a daughter of Joseph Marchegiano and Albina Donatella Barney, she was proudly raised on Spring Lane, Midland, before moving to Vanport. She had retired from Rochester Hospital as a dietary supervisor in 1977.
She will be sadly missed by her family, including her loving husband of 63 years, Samuel P. Pizzuti; a daughter, Angela Pizzuti, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Connor Clendenning, Brighton Township; two granddogs, Tanner and Noodle; four very special children, Renae, Kevin, Nicholas and Raquel Pettigrew, Beaver Falls; her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Robert Marchegiano, John (Betty) Marchegiano, all of Midland; Anthony (Delores) Barney, East Liverpool, OH; Joseph (Sheila) Barney, Midland; Pete (Patricia) Barney, Industry and Loretta Cook, East Liverpool, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her birth father, Joseph Marchegiano; her mother and her second father, Albina Donatella and Pete Barney; three brothers, Dominic Marchegiano, Emidio Marchegiano and Emerico Barney and two sisters, Susan Marchegiano Brown and Anita Barney Frye and most recently, special brother-in-law, James Cook.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver, followed by interment at Beaver Cemetery.

The family would like to especially thank Dr. Slemenda for his kind manner and the hope he gave us and also Drs. Gehrlein, Lins, Wolfert and Xie, Heritage Valley Hospital Critical Care, Cardio Pulmonary, Kindred Care and the staff at Rochester Villa.

I am the secretary for Vanport Township and got to know Rose from her visits to the office.
She was always smiling and was truly a caring lady. Although I did not see Rose very often I will always think of her with fondness.

Visting van bueran homes will never be the same anymore to any of us:(...I will miss seeing you as i walk in your house during Christmas and Easter, bringing you mom's homeade goodies!!
