Felix J. Kanapesky, Sr. of Brighton Twp., PA

Felix J. Kanapesky, 89 of Brighton Twp passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 at Heritage Valley, Beaver with his family at his side. Born September 26, 1920 in Midland, he was a son of the late John A. & Martha Marcuikaitis Kanapesky and had been a resident of Brighton Twp for over 60 years. Felix had retired from Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland after 42 years and was a member of the SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver. He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during WW II in China, Burma and India (CBI), and was a member of the Midland American Legion. Preceding him in death was his wife, Anne Ferris Kanapesky in 2002, a brother, Brownie Kanapesky and 2 sisters, Alberta Gregor and Mildred Aukscunas. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Felix Jr., & Kristyn Kanapesky, Center Twp., Allen & Sandy Kanapesky, Rochester, NY, Ray & Donna Kanapesky, Brighton Twp., 8 grandchildren, Robert (Janet) McMichael, Matthew Kanapesky, Jamie & Laura Kanapesky, Raymond, Aaron, Nicholas & Jay Kanapesky and 2 great grandchildren, Gray & Jade McMichael. Friends will be received Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12:00 noon at SS Peter & Paul Church by his pastor, Father Michael Decewicz. Private interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hopewell. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
