Shirley G. Berresford of BEAVER
03/11/1925 - 07/15/2010Shirley G. Berresford, 85, of Beaver, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010.
Born March 11, 1925, in New Galilee, PA, she was a daughter of the late David G. and Meta L. LaFine George and had been a resident of Beaver since 1956. Shirley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Beaver, and had worked for many years at several doctors' offices.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Delmar W. Berresford, in 1997, and two sisters, Virginia Potter and Grace Showalter.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Annette Berresford, Rochester; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathrine J. Berresford, Anaheim, CA, and Holly and James Koury, Queen Creek, AZ; a sister, Pauline Johnson, St. Petersburg, FL; a grandson, Matthew B. Berresford, and a great-granddaughter, Maddison Berresford.
As per Shirley's wishes, cremation services were conducted by the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver. A memorial service will be held in the First Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 23, 2010, at 11 a.m.
Interment will take place at Beaver Falls Cemetery.

I was so sorry to read of Mrs. Berresfords passing. She was such a sweet and gentle woman. Growing up and being friends with her daughter Kathy, I have alot of fond memories of her. When I was working @ Beaver Super Mkt, I use to always try and make sure I waited on her and she was always so pleasant and would give me updates on all the family. She truly was a great lady and she will be missed.
