Pauline Gibson of Vanport

Pauline Gibson, 100, of Vanport, passed away peacefully Monday evening, February 6, 2012 with her daughter at her side.
Born March 23, 1911 in Weston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Charles Walter and Georgia Aladine Primm, and was a graduate of Victory High School, Clarksburg, WV. She was recognized as the longest member of Beaver United Methodist Church, a member of United Methodist Women, former Girl Scout leader, volunteer for Meals on Wheels, active member of Vanport PTA, and faithful server for Rotary dinners at her church. She was recognized on the Today Show by Willard Scott upon her 100th birthday.
The most important part of her life was her family and church. Pauline lived her life with a spirit of gratitude toward others and created a loving welcoming atmosphere in her home. She possessed a terrific sense of humor, was an excellent cook and always entered into family and church activities with a cheerful and enthusiastic heart. Her love of children, family, and church was reflected throughout her life. She was a woman of faith and a role model for others.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents, were her husband, James Franklin Gibson in 1998; a son-in-law, Richard B. Pow in 2001; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie (Clarence T.) Bow; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry (Carmen) Primm, Henry (Grace) Primm, Kinsey (Helen) Primm, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bessie and Jacob Schlicker.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Leonard) Seaman, Canton, OH, Shirley Pow, Beaver; four grandchildren, Kathy (Tom) Fiala, North Canton, OH, Karen Allcorn, HI, Leonard (Tami) Seaman, Edison, NJ, Paula Soto, Beaver; eight great-grandchildren, Lauren and Lindsay Fiala, North Canton, OH, Justin, Brendan, and Ethan Seaman, Edison, NJ, Natalie Allcorn, Akron, OH, Helen Allcorn, HI, Cassidy Soto, Beaver; a dear friend for more than 60 years, Irene Allen, Beaver Falls, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver, PA. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the Beaver United Methodist Church, in the absence of her pastor, Father Carl Neely will officiate.
Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.
