Alvida Pisani Lonnett, 90, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, 16 January 2021. Our “Nunny” was a vibrant and adoring woman who brought joy and laughter to those around her. Her witty humor, contagious laugh, and animated smile allowed her to silently correct your grammar without missing a beat.
Nunny was devoted to her family and loved teaching her grandchildren to cook, to always clean the bottom of a pan (although food never touched it), to most appropriately express frustration is through the phrase, “oh, horse feathers! For lack of a better word,” to know you can never offer someone too much food, and Jell-O is the most superior of all desserts.
Her surviving family and friends are delightfully blessed to have inherited her unconditional love, compassionate care for others, sarcasm, and yes, passion for correcting others’ grammar. She was incredibly devoted to her faith, reminding her family and friends “The most important thing you can do in this life is to assure yourself of your salvation.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Lonnett; five infant siblings; a sister, Betty Esoldo; a brother, Ralph Pisani; and a son-in-law, Bill Burgess.
Private Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 THIRD STREET, BEAVER PA 15009. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
Private interment took place at Beaver Cemetery.
