Amelia I. “Millie” Huzyak, 94, of Vanport, passed peacefully into her heavenly home, surrounded by her loving family on March 22, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born April 2, 1924 in Hazel Kirk, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Tereza Misanik. Millie had formerly managed the cafeteria at the Beaver County Times for over 20 years. A devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother and great-grandmother, Millie was the most joyful when she was with her family, bowling, traveling, or worshiping the Lord. She was a faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver, where she was active in the Keenagers Club, serving as a past president and secretary. Millie was a kind and gentle lady who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward J. Huzyak who passed in 1986; a brother, Joseph; two sisters, Mary and Theresa; her grandson, Mark Greenly; and granddaughter, Addie Huzyak.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Pat (Barry) Lansberry; sons, Ed (Peggy) Huzyak, and Rick (Jan Wagner) Huzyak; granddaughter, Jenn Greenly; grandsons, Mike, Chris, and Jeb Huzyak; and great-grandson, Gage Greenly. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
Friends will be received Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Robert Miller, Monday, April 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver. A private interment will take place at Beaver Cemetery.
