Andrew Blishak, Jr., 91, of New Brighton, formerly of Brighton Township, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born October 5, 1924, he was a son of the late Andrew and Sophie Blishak, and was a proud member of the 69th Infantry Division, serving during WWII. Andrew was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church, Rochester, and a 50-year member of the Ambridge Lodge, # 701, of the Free and Accepted Masons.
In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Lou Blishak, a son, David Blishak, and a granddaughter, Haley Blishak.
He is survived by a sister, Lucille (John) Detz, Baden, one daughter, Judy (Bill) Watson, FL, a son, Terry Blishak, KY, eight grandchildren, Andrew, Shelly, Joe, Rebecca, Terry, Jr., Jennifer, Amie, and Julie, and 14 great grandchildren. He will be lovingly and sadly missed by his significant other, June Foster, New Brighton.
Friends will be received Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 10 am until time of service at 12:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Reverend Mark Boyd will officiate. Interment with full military rites will follow at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
