Andrew V. Manickas

Andrew Manickas, 99, of Clearwater Beach, FL, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023. Born on November 17, 1923, he was the son of the late Vasilios and Vasiliki Manikas. Andrew enjoyed fishing and tending to his garden, especially his fruit trees, he was a man with a “green thumb”. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Costoula Manickas (2007); and all his siblings. Andrew will be sadly missed by his children, Vasiliky Manikas of NJ, and Peter (Kathy) Manickas of PA; his grandchildren, Lizzie, Thomas, Victoria (Ethan), Tina, and Andrew; as well as numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church in Brooklyn from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Andrew may be made to Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church, 1724 Ave P, Brooklyn, NY 11229.
