Anna Beverly Jenkins Knapp (Beverly), 83, of Beaver, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2022. Born in Pewee Valley, Kentucky on November 26, 1938, she was the oldest child of Joseph Hewitt and Annawood Hume Jenkins. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, the Reverend Donald W. Knapp; three children, James Daniel (Rosalie) Knapp, D. Bethann Knapp, and Colonel (U.S. Army) David Chester (Leyza) Knapp; 4 grandchildren, Dan (Manon) Knapp, Ainsley Knapp, Leyna Grace Knapp and Leyah Mai Knapp; and 2 great-grandchildren, Emma and James Knapp. She is also survived by three brothers, Hugh Allen Jenkins, Gerald Jenkins and Robert (Jean) Jenkins, as well as many nieces and nephews. Beverly loved her family and enjoyed being with people. She was a dedicated grandmother, sending cards, gifts, packages and stickers on every holiday. She was a 1956 graduate of Oldham County High School and went on to attend the Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1959, the same year in which she and Donald were married. Beverly loved to play the piano and was an accomplished pianist. She began playing for church services as a teenager and continued playing the piano for worship services into her 83rd year. Like her mother, she loved landscape and nature photography and enjoyed scenic drives. She especially enjoyed attending concerts, flowers and gardening, and spent many hours taking wildflower walks and visiting botanical gardens, especially Phipps Conservatory. She was very creative and enjoyed sewing and painting. She worked at JC Penney’s for many years. Beverly had a beautiful smile and a wonderful personality and will be greatly missed. We look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
