Anthony “Tony” G. Flara, of Midland, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, December 17, 2016.
He was the son of the late Guisseppi and Maria Flara.
He worked as an electrician for Crucible Steel and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as a Corporal in the United States Air Force. He was member of the Midland Sportsman’s Club and was an avid archer and hunter. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Donna; brothers, Bud, Leo, and Phil, and sisters, Grace, Angie, Joffie, and Anna.
Surviving are his sister, Mamie (Joe) Petroff; a son, Nicholas Dereta, Rochester; daughters, Pamela (John) Muslovski, Midland, and Cynthia Flara, Ohioville; grandchildren, Naomi (Jim) Stiger, Stephanie Lipomi, Natalie Coups, Scott (Melanie) Freed, and Skyler (Julie) Freed; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Paige Stiger, Ava, Cali, and Chase Coups, Gianna Lipomi, and Sloane, Sienna, Serene, and Zara Freed; special nieces and nephews, Don and Kerry Musser, Erin, Rachael, and Ashley.
Friends will be received on Monday, December 19, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the SCHWERHA-NOLL FUNERAL HOME, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at St. Blaise Parish, 772 Ohio Ave., Midland. Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery.
