Anthony “Tony” Christian Sobieski, 64, of East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2023. Born November 16, 1958, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Anthony Stanley and Geraldine Lucille Humphrey Sobieski. Tony was employed earlier in his career at Westinghouse, eventually retiring from the Blackhawk School District. He was an avid drummer and loved camping, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He also was a member of the Midland American Legion. Tony cherished spending time with his multitude of lifelong friends and will be sadly missed by his family and all that knew him. Along with his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Marsha C. Sobieski; and his brother, Earl William Hammond. Tony will be greatly missed by his daughter, Tami (Mike Cherichetti) Sobieski, of New Castle; son T.J. (Amanda) Sobieski, of Ellwood City; sister Ruth Matilda (Charles J.) Musser; his grandchildren, Kyle Emmett, Emma Rhea, Jaxon Bryce, and Ava Elysse; his father-in-law, Gene Mathis; and his faithful four-legged companion, Pumpkin. Friends will be received Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009, where a funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10 a.m., with his sister Ruth Matilda Musser officiating.
