Antonio Dimarzio

October 15, 1925 — March 17, 2018

Antonio DiMarzio, 92 of Ohioville passed on to his eternal life on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born October 15, 1925 in Midland, he was a son of the late James C. and Angeline Verzelli DiMarzio, and was proud of his Midland heritage having spent his childhood growing up on Spring Lane. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served on the minesweeper, USS Storm King APA 171 during WW II. He had formerly worked as a foreman in the Titanium Division of Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland and later retired in 1990 as a maintenance supervisor from Sewickley Valley Hospital. Tony was a faithful member of the St. Blaise Parish, Midland, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2005, Midland, loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting and working in his garden. However, his greatest passion was his family and the time he spent with them. He will be sadly missed by his wife of nearly 68 years, Yolanda Catracchia DiMarzio, three daughters, Louise (Ron) Anderson, Tampa, FL, Jeanette (Tom) Bucko, Moon Twp., and Linda (Randy) Colbert, Center Twp. He was extremely proud to be a grandfather to Jason (Robyn) Colbert, Eighty-Four, PA, Brenton (Kristin) Colbert, Moon Twp., Apryl Anderson, Tampa, and great grandfather to Braden & Ryan Colbert, Maddox & Brynlee Colbert, Dominic Ventura, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Carl J. DiMarzio, and a sister, Lucy M. Tonti. Friends will be received Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 am by his pastor, Father Michael Yaksick. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church. Entombment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com. In gratitude to the loving and compassionate care given to Tony, in lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to the Mother Teresa Hospice, 3950 Brodhead Rd, #300, Monaca, PA 15061.
