Barbara A. Dunstan

Barbara A. Dunstan, 89, of Baden, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, October 26, 2023.

Born March 5, 1934, in Sewickley, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Melza (Frey) Nussbaum. Barbara was a nurse at State Street Elementary School, Rochester Hospital Nursery, and the Infirmary at Mt. Gallitzin. She was catholic by faith, having been a member of Our Lady of Peace, Conway. Barbara was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and was a fan of both the Steelers and Notre Dame. She loved watching all Pittsburgh sports, and when at Myrtle Beach she enjoyed watching the dolphins.

Along with her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Gerald “Jerry” Dunstan, February 1, 2023; and brother, Richard Nussbaum.

Barbara will be greatly missed by her daughters, Melza (Martin) Kirsch, Glen Campbell, PA and Linda (John) Garcia, Beaver PA; brother-in-law, Fran (Sara) Dunstan; brothers, Mike (Ellen) Nussbaum, and Steve (Sheila) Nussbaum; grandchildren, Terra (Brandon Cartwright) Cottage, Natalie (Jermaine) Cottage-Thomas, and Katelin (Matt) Pauvlinch; great-grandchildren, Avery, Jase, Violet and Ford; and close friends who were like family to Barbara, John and Mary O’Conner, and their son Jake.

Friends will be received on Monday October 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, PA 15009.Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.

A special thanks to the nurses and staff in the Memory Care Unit at Providence Health and Rehabilitation and Grane Hospice for the wonderful care that they gave Barbara while she was there with them.
