Barbara Grivna Perlstein

Barbara Grivna Perlstein, 83, formerly of Aliquippa passed away peacefully on 24 October 2021 at the Rouse Care Facility, Warren, Pennsylvania. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Mary Grivna. She is survived by her brother Drew Grivna (Doris) and her four children; Yvonne Gerson (Steve), Lamy, New Mexico, Murray Perlstein (Judy), Stowe, Pa., Renee Melberg (Edward) Harmony, Pa., and Andrew Perlstein (Minely) Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Grandmother to Dana Gerson, Melissa Otto, Kelly Perlstein, Jacob Perlstein, Zachary Rothman, Olivia Rothman, and Angeylis Hernandez Pineyro Perlstein, and Aunt to Marc Grivna and Aaron Grivna. Barbara experienced a life of many varied interests as a model, musician, artist and author to mention just a few. Following receiving her Masters of Public Health degree from the University of Pittsburgh she worked for the Department of Human Services, as well as Pilgrim Psychiatric Hospital, New York. With her love of history, she served as the Executive Director of several museums in Pennsylvania. Her family is planning a private service at a later date.
