October 30, 1996 — September 17, 2021

Benjamin Philip Chaffee, 24, of Ohioville went to Heaven to be in the arms of his Savior on September 17, 2021 after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest on September 15, 2021. Ben was a kind, patient, and hard-working young man, who was a true visionary.

Ben was born on October 30, 1996. Ben will be greatly missed by his parents, Philip & Edith (Edie) Chaffee; his fiancé Toni Lynn Smith; his sister Naomi Chaffee Shepler (Jacob); his brother Joshua Chaffee (Kelly); grandparents Harry & Opal Hopkins; nephews, Levi & Luke Shepler; niece, Olivia Rose Chaffee; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Charles and Marge Chaffee.

Ben graduated from Beaver County Christian School and Community College of Beaver County. He was born, raised, and an active member of Fairview Presbyterian Church, Industry where he served as a steward.

At the age of 14, Ben started cutting grass for neighbors and friends which led to the start of his lawn care and landscaping business that he called “Chaffee Lawn Service”. Ben’s hard work ethic, skill, caring friendly personality, and special smile helped his business in success. He was a visionary with a great plan for his future.

A country boy at heart, Ben had a love for family & friends, enjoyed riding his side by side, restoring old tractors and trucks, and driving his jacked pickup trucks and blowing black smoke. He was a talented auto body artist with an eye for detail and paint.

Ben was excited for his future and to be getting married to his best friend, Toni Lynn Smith. They were to become man & wife on October 9, 2021.

Friends will be received Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Fairview Presbyterian Church, Industry, where a funeral service will be conducted Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. The service will be livestreamed. When Ben woke up on September 15, 2021, he started his work day as normal. His life quickly changed. Our lives are very fragile – please do not go by without considering where your life stands with God. We know for certain that Ben is with his Lord. John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
