Benjamin C. Chaffin, 65, a lifelong resident of Ohioville, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls.
Born May 24, 1950 in East Liverpool, OH, he was a son of the late Charles and Helen Chaffin. Benjamin was formerly employed at Crucible Steel, Shank Bus Company, and Frye Transportation, ultimately retiring from E&S Parking at the Pittsburgh International Airport. He was a member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church and a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. Ben’s service to his country earned him a Purple Heart, Two Bronze Stars, and an Air Medal.
Surviving Benjamin is his wife of 43 years, Colleen Sanford, a son Dr. Charles Chaffin, Washington D.C, a daughter Amy (Bill) Beck, New Sewickley, two grandchildren, Joshua and Cole Beck, New Sewickley, and a brother Ray (Susie) Chaffin of Ohioville
Friends will be received Sunday from 1 pm until 6pm in the Noll Funeral Home 333 Third St., Beaver. A service, immediately following visitation, will be conducted by Reverend Mark Boyd at 6pm. Private interment with full military rights will take place at Highland Cemetery in Ohioville. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of America .
