Betty Jean Hamilton

Betty Jean “B.J.” Hamilton, 80, of Vanport, passed away on November 6, 2025, at Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center.

Born on June 24, 1945, in Rochester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Virginia Hamilton. B.J. had attended Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing and continued on to work and retire as a Register Nurse. She was a longtime and faithful member of Vanport Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder, as well as recently becoming a member of Pathway Church, Chippewa.

Along with her parents, B.J. is preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Norman “Mac” McCray and William Robert Casbourne Jr; nephews, Norman and Mark McCray.

B.J. will be sadly missed by her sisters and brother-in-law, Sally and Thomas Chapman, of Vanport, and Carol McCray of West Palm Beach, FL; nephews, Troy (Dani) Casbourne, and W. Robert “Rob” (Charleen) Casbourne; niece, Christina (Jason) Dindinger; great-nephews, Austin Casbourne, Andrew Casbourne, and Robert Howard Casbourne; many cousins; as well as her special cat, Lucy.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on November 19, 2025 at 11am at Pathway Church, 239 Braun Rd, Beaver Falls PA 15010.

Burial will take place with her parents at Beaver Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared in B.J.’s name to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001; Vanport Presbyterian Church, 289 Georgetown Lane, Beaver PA 15009; or Beaver Area Memorial Library, 100 College Avenue, Beaver, PA 15009.
