Betty Jane May, 96, of Beaver, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Rochester Manor and Villa, Rochester, surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 11, 1921 in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Roy and Edith Ann Campbell.  A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty formerly worked as a dental assistant and was a lifelong Episcopalian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wilbert Delworth May in 1978; four brothers, Glenn, Alfred, Edward, and Robert; one sister, Janet Ketterer; and her grandson, Scott May.

Betty will be greatly missed by her two sons, Wilbert D. (Linda) May, SC and Daniel S. (Judy F.) May, Industry; one brother, Joe Campbell, South Beaver; three sisters, Jean Downs, Seven Fields, Margaret “Peg” Moul, Beaver and Donna Radcliffe, CA; two grandchildren, Elizabeth May, MD and Amanda (Kent) McDowell, Mt. Jackson, PA; grand-daughter-in-law, Cathy May, SC; and two great-grandchildren, Addison and James McDowell.

Friends will be received Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A private interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls.  Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.

The family would like to extend its deepest appreciation to Rochester Manor & Villa and Mother Teresa Hospice for the compassionate care given to Betty.
