Betty J. Metheny

Betty Joan “JoAnn” Metheny, 90, of Beaver, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver, with her family at her side.

Born April 30, 1926 in Hutchinson, KS, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Kathryn Schrader and had resided in Beaver for the last 26 years.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Donald E. Metheny in 2009, one son-in-law, William Bass, in 1989, and a brother, Everett Schrader.

She is survived by one son, David D. Metheny, Beaver; two daughters, Jana Bass, Springboro, OH, and Kathleen Metheny, Beaver; and one granddaughter, Jennifer (Andrew Edwards) Bass, Cincinnati, OH.
