Beverly J O'Leary

Beverly J. O’Leary, 90, of Beaver, died peacefully at home on June 21, 2015.             .

Born April 22, 1925 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Carl F. and Fannie Luce Hagadorn. Beverly was a graduate of Swissvale High School and attended Westminster College. She was an active member of Beaver United Methodist Church and attended Wesley United Methodist Church during winters in Marco Island, Florida.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 50 years, John P. O’Leary, Sr. in 1994, her second husband of 11 years, Gilmore P. Scholes in 2010, and a sister, Ruth Maxine Hagadorn.

Surviving are her children, John P. (Pam) O’Leary, Jr., David C. (Bobbie) O’Leary, all of Beaver, and Kerry Sue (Chester) Zombeck of Franklin Park; 7 grandchildren, Patrick (Emily), David (Tara) and Christopher (Raelynn) O’Leary, Ellen(Christopher) Crefeld, Mark(Ann) and Brian (Michelle) O’Leary and Michael Zombeck; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 more expected this year; a brother, Gerald C. (Pat) Hagadorn of Moon Township; and several nieces and nephews and their families.

Private interment will be in the Beaver Cemetery. In order to accommodate out of country relatives, friends will be received in the Parlor of the Beaver United Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 9:30AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:30AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Beverly’s name to the Beaver United Methodist Church, 345 College Avenue, Beaver, PA 15009.

The family would like to thank the devoted people at Gentiva Hospice for their excellent care. We are forever grateful to Charmaine Triplett, Beverly’s beloved caregiver and friend, for five years of loving, compassionate, outstanding care.
