Brenda L Smyda

Brenda L. Smyda, 56 of Ohioville passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 19, 1959 in Rochester, Pa, she was a daughter of the late James and Honor Yothers and had been a resident of Ohioville the past 30 years.  Brenda had  most recently worked as a secretary for Ohioville Borough and was a member of the Four Mile Presbyterian Church.  She loved to sew and make crafts, but  her favorite activity was baking and sharing with everyone she knew.

Surviving is her husband of over 35 years, Jeffrey J. Smyda, a son, Jared J. (Andrea “AJ” Short) Knoxville, TN, a daughter, Leah M. (Gregg Woolard) Rochester, a brother, Chuck (Carrie) Yothers, Industry, a sister, Barb Yothers (Bud Hupp), New Brighton, a mother-in-law, Helen Smyda, Ohioville, numerous nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her brother, Jimmy Yothers, a special grandmother, Irene Panner, and her father-in-law, John Smyda.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 am by Rev. R. Martin Williams.
