C. Robert Schaughency, 96, of Beaver, passed away on April 3, 2026.

Born July 27, 1929, in Rochester, he was a son of the late Charles Henry and Alice Hendrickson Schaughency. Bob had been a resident of Beaver his entire life and was a graduate of Beaver High School and attended Geneva College, where he was a left-handed first baseman. He also served his country as a radioman for the US Navy, stationed in Little Creek, Va for 4 years. Bob was the former owner of Schaughency’s Home and Auto Supply Store as well as a truck driver for Exxon Corporation. He was a member of Park United Presbyterian Church and loved the Pittsburgh Pirates.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 71-years, Betty Sue Carter Schaughency, Beaver; sons, James Robert (Nancy) Schaughency, El Paso, TX and Thomas Scott (Joyce) Schaughency, Beaver; daughter, Barbra Lue (Paul) Caruso; grandchildren, Tyler Carter (Courtney) Caruso, Abbey (Richard) Nicastro, Sydney (RJ) Debo, Kayla Sue (Mike) Kirkpatrick, and Leah Schaughency; great-grandchildren, Carter, Josephine, Max, and Hazel Caruso, Lucy and Brady Kirkpatrick, and Hadley Nicastro.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care given to Bob by the staff of Beaver Meadows and St. Barnabas Hospice.
