Caroline B. Cupani

Caroline B. Cupani, 85, of Brighton Twp., passed away early Tuesday morning, September 15, 2020, at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls.

Born December 24, 1934 in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Gregorich Rihely.  Caroline graduated from Beaver Falls High School and in 1955, graduated from Providence Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked as a staff nurse at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, as a charge nurse at Providence Hospital in Beaver Falls, as an office nurse for Dr. L.P. Atwell and later Drs. Cuddy, Pupi, Thompson, Meuser, as an industrial nurse of the Conway Railroad Yards, and volunteered as a school nurse.  The girls she graduated from Providence with she considered family: Faye, JoAnn, Eileen, Fran, Flo, Denise, Donna Lee, Mildred and especially Lorraine and Patty who she would talk to every day. Being a nurse was not a career for her, it defined her as a person. Caroline was a faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver.

In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Angelo J. Cupani in July, 2019; four brothers, Stanley, Steve, Mike, and Joseph Rihely; and one sister, Mary Novak.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Joseph (Mary) Cupani, Murrysville; daughter, Dawna (Greg) Miocic, Brighton Twp.; four sisters, Ann Anderson, East Palestine, OH; Katherine Thompson, Tuscan, AZ; Josephine Markulin, Brighton Twp. and Rosie Thompson, New Brighton; two sisters-in-law, Rosemary Wilkes, FL, and Joanne (Butch) Sekerak, Allison Park; and two cherished granddaughters, Caitlyn and Maria Miocic; along with numerous nieces and nephews and many more who lovingly called her Aunt Rihely.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 20, 2020, from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her pastor, Fr. Robert Miller, Monday, September 21, 2020, at 10 a.m., at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver.  A private interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.  Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Caroline’s name may be made to Saints Peter and Paul School, East End Ave., Beaver, PA 15009, or to the McGuire Memorial Foundation, 2119 Mercer Road, New Brighton, PA 15066.
