Carolyn S. Woolaway

Carolyn S. Woolaway, 65, of Chippewa Twp., passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

Born September 30, 1959 in South Beaver Twp., she was a daughter of James G. and Geraldine L. Murphy Uebelacker. Carolyn retired from Lifesteps Preschool and was a former aide at Beaver Area Elementary Schools. She taught at Four Mile preschool from 1996 – 1998.

A faithful member of First Presbyterian Church, Beaver, she served as a Sunday School Teacher. As her children’s #1 fan, Carolyn helped with many organizations including Beaver PTA, baseball, football, hockey, girls volleyball and T-Ball, as well as school musicals and orchestra.

In addition to her mother, Carolyn will be greatly missed by her son, James P. (Samantha) Woolaway, Berthoud, CO; daughters, Emily L. (Tyler) McConnell, Sorrento, FL, and Kate Rose (David) Pierce, La Mesa, CA; grandchildren, Theo and Jack Woolaway, and Evelyn, Ian and Annette McConnell; brother, James M. (Kathy) Uebelacker; sisters, Linda (Tom) Bradshaw, Rosemary (Alan) Stratton, Cindy (Jeff) Rimbey, and Lorrie Duda; aunt, Wilma Uebelacker; former husband, Tom A. Woolaway; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews, their spouses and children, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Uebelacker, and her brother-in-law, Tim Duda.

Friends will be received Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, July 28, 2025 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
