Catherine A. Holby

Catherine Anderson Holby, 95, formerly of Brighton Twp., passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Strabane Woods Assisted Living, Washington, PA.

Born February 27, 1924 in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late John and Isabella High Anderson. A devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, Catherine was a charter member of the Tusca Ridge Garden Club, and a faithful member of the Faith Community Methodist Church, Rochester.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, whom she married in 1945, Harry E. Holby, in 2006; a brother, John “Jack” Anderson; and three sisters, Mary Ann Beighey, Ella Dorminey, and Wilma Anderson.

Catherine will be greatly missed by her children, Sheila (Michael) Burcin, Washington, PA, Frank (Katherine) Holby, Port Orange, FL, Beth (Allen) Ross, and Barbara (Pete) Hotaling, all of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Heather (Gen) Holby, Auburndale, Fl; grandchildren, Kristin (Steve) Skakun, Matthew (Nicoletta) Holby, Melissa (Kramer) Peter, Amanda (Peter) Ambrose, Cate (Rob) Preciado, and Stephanie Fink; along with seven great-grandchildren.
