Charles E. Barrickman, 65, of Brighton Township passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 26, 2017.
Born December 25, 1951 in New Brighton, he was a son of the late Charles and Helen Barrickman. Charles graduated from Western Beaver High School in 1969, going on to earn his degree in Chemical Engineering at West Virginia University. A Brighton Twp. resident for 35 years, he was a substitute teacher for several school districts in the local area. In his spare time, Charles was an avid sports fan, enjoying high school events and passionately cheering on WVU and Pittsburgh sports teams.
Affectionately known as Chuck, he loved to mingle with others and have a great time. Chuck had the uncanny ability to make people laugh with his countless jokes and stories. He was a gifted after dinner storyteller and could really charm those around him. Chuck’s unique sense of humor and overall personality will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother John.
He will be greatly missed by two sisters, Barbara Ann Barrickman, Rochester, and Mary Louise Smalley, Freedom; one brother, Robert Hamilton Barrickman, Rochester; three nephews, Ryan (Shannon) Smalley, Jeffrey (Kristen) Smalley, and Andrew (Stacey) Smalley; along with six great-nephews, one great-niece, and many friends.
Friends will be received during a memorial visitation Monday, October 2, 2017 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver where a service will be conducted by family friend, Pastor Robert D. Dayton, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
