Charlotte M. Irion

Charlotte Mae Irion, 92 of Beaver passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver, with her sons at her side.

Born August 25, 1927 in Beaver, she was a daughter of the late Howard W. and M. Pearl Johnston Erwin.  Charlotte was a lifelong resident of Beaver and had graduated Beaver Area High School in the great class of 1945. She had worked for 25 years as an elementary school secretary in the Beaver School district and was a faithful member of Park Presbyterian Church where she had sung in the choir for over 50 years. She was active in the community having belonged to numerous organizations such as Beaver Area Heritage Foundation, Brighton Twp Historical Society, and the Beaver County Genealogical Society as well as volunteering with the Beaver elementary schools, Cancer Treatment Center, Reach to Recovery and Meals on Wheels.

Preceding her in death besides her parents were her husband William Earle Irion whom she married on September 6, 1947, an infant sister, Helen, a sister Genevieve Erwin, a brother, Harold Erwin, and a daughter-in-law, Michelle Irion.

Charlotte loved her family very much and is survived by two sons, Curtis William Irion, Butler, Norman Paul Irion, Lakewood, NY, 5 grandchildren, Michelle, Curtis, Bryant, Sarah, Zachery, and 2 great grandchildren, Rose Lyn and Brylee Jean Irion.  She is also survived by 2 very dear nieces and a nephew, her life long school friends, her beloved COEDS, her church family and many other treasured friends.

Friends will be received Sunday from noon until 4:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 am at the Park Presbyterian Church.  Private interment will take place at the Beaver Cemetery.   Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
