Charlotte E. Mccandless

Charlotte Ellen Johnson McCandless, 79, of Potter Twp., passed away Monday, October 1, 2018.

Born September 1, 1939 in Shippingport, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mary Densick Johnson. Charlotte will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great-grandmother, taking every opportunity to baby-sit her grandchildren when they were young. When not with her family, Charlotte could be found traveling the country on bus tours.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel McCandless, Sr. in 2012; sisters, Yvonne Johnson, Pearl Winkle, Catherine Eiselt, and Evelyn Farinacci; brothers, Joseph and George “Bud” Johnson; son-in-law, James Sutton; and her infant grandson, Netherland.

Charlotte will be greatly missed by her son, Samuel McCandless, Jr; three daughters, Rhonda (Robert) Bourke, Brenda McCandless, and Linda Sutton and brother-in-law, John “Jack” and Donna McCandless, Beaver; cherished grandchildren, Brandi Wheaton, Sheila Bourke, Charles Neely, Robert (Jordyn) Bourke, Jr., and Baylee McCandless; great-grandsons, Noah, Ryan, and Jacob Wheaton, and Xander Bourke; along with many caring nieces, nephews, cousins, and long time family friends, Wendy Rubino, Vanport Twp., and Alice Phillis, Potter Twp.

Friends will be received Friday, October 5, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.
