Christopher Allen Eck Jr.

Christopher (Chris) Allen Eck Jr, age 37, of Claysburg PA, passed away on April 9th, 2021, at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center, after a long battle with illness. Born on April 8th,1984 in Bradford PA, and having lived in Beaver and Claysburg PA, Chris was a War Veteran with the US Marine Corp. He was decorated with a Rifle Marksmanship Badge, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (w/ 2 Stars), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (Iraq), National Defense Service Medal, and the Presidential Unit Citation – Navy. Chris was also an avid outdoorsman, especially having fond memories of fishing with his daughter, loved racing quads and dirt bikes, enjoyed competing in pool tournaments, played the guitar and drums being passionate about music, and enjoyed online gaming. Chris will be most remembered for his sacrifice and dedication to his country, and his deep love and pride for his beloved daughter, Katarina Eck. He is survived by his parents, Christopher Eck Sr. & Regina Eck. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Katarina Eck, age 15, of Beaver PA, girlfriend of 5 years, Mia Claar of Claysburg; longtime confidant and mother of his daughter, Marianna Sakkas of Beaver PA, lifelong friend and advisor, Brother Michael Hicks, of Duke Center PA, and several close friends whom he considered “brothers”. Friends and family will be attending the private Interment Ceremony on April 30th at the VA Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Full Military Honors. Words of dedication and memorial will be shared by his childhood Pastor, Pastor Frank Hill, accompanied by his wife, Donna Hill, of Rew, PA.
