Daisy Vucinich

Daisy (Danica) Vucinich, 92, of Midland passed away December 31,2021 surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Midland, but lived in recent years with her daughter and family in Gibsonia. She was the daughter of the late Mile and Marija Gledich. She worked as the Midland Boro secretary for many years and was well known by many for her helpful kind nature. She also was an employee of Crucible steel and worked for the East Liverpool Review newspaper for many years. She loved being a “Babi” to her grandson and was an avid animal lover known for finding homes and helping strays in need. She was a member of the St George Serbian Orthodox Church in Midland serving as a past Sunday School teacher and member of the Dr. Laza Kostich choir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Nicholas Gledich of Florida. She is survived by her daughter Dr. Dana Vucinich-McClure, son-in-law Dr. Thomas McClure and her beloved grandson Aaron McClure as well as two nieces, a nephew and their families. Visitation will be held at Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland, Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 1pm to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm with Pomen Service at 6pm. Funeral service will be on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 1pm at St George Serbian Orthodox Church, Midland. Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery.
