Dana Lee Duff, 90, of Beaver, passed away at home Saturday, February 2, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Born June 3, 1928 on a farm outside of New Concord, OH, he was a son of the late Paul Hawthorne and Alta Craig Duff. After graduation from Otsego High School he joined the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Following his graduation from Muskingum College he was employed in the Research & Development Plastics Division of Continental Can in Chicago, IL, which was followed by employment with the Sinclair Koppers Company, Chicago, IL and the P.M. Moore Company in Aliquippa, PA. He was President of the P.M. Moore Foundation for 25 years. Dana was an Elder and Deacon at both Riverside Presbyterian Church, Riverside, IL and First Presbyterian Church, Beaver, PA. He was a 50 year Mason of all York Rite Bodies of Illinois including Riverside Lodge No. 862 in Riverside, Illinois and the Chapter, Council and Commandery of Illinois, as well as a 32nd Degree Mason of the Valley of New Castle Consistory in New Castle, PA. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and past president of the Rotary Club of Aliquippa, Easter Seals Society and Dawes Manor, as well as District Chairman, Boy Scouts of America, Fort Mac District. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Beaver and a 26-year volunteer for the Beaver County Maple Syrup Festival. Dana was an outdoorsman that loved to hunt, fish and tend to his garden, as well as a Pittsburgh sports fan, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family in Beaver PA and Cambridge OH. Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth Ann Moore Duff; two sons, David Moore (Susan) Duff, Chippewa and Paul Warren Duff, Beaver; a brother, Francis Duff, Cambridge, OH, and a sister, Eileen Beauregard, Sylvania, GA; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 6 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St. Beaver, where a memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Jeff Arnold Thursday, February 7 at 11 a.m. Graveside service and interment will be on Saturday, February 9 at 11 a.m. in Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge OH. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Allegheny Health Network Home Hospice for the loving and compassionate care given to Dana.
