David James “Digby” Reynolds, 49, of Ohioville, formerly of Beaver, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born January 28, 1969 in Erie, he was a son of James and Betty (Besong) Reynolds, of Vanport, PA and a graduate of Beaver Area High School. David, known to the Pittsburgh radio and local music communities as Digby Reynolds, was an Executive Producer for the Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network and took to the air as a fill-in DJ on the network’s flagship station, WXDX-FM. A natural radio personality, his unique and friendly voice, peppered with a dry sense of humor made him the first choice for numerous radio commercials and a listener favorite. A longtime advocate of the Beaver County music scene, David was a familiar sight at alternative-rock concerts throughout the region, including appearances at the Rockin’ the Suburbs Festival. He was Lutheran by faith.
In addition to his parents, James and Betty, he is survived by his sister, Nancy J. (Mark) Korcinsky, Brighton Twp. and his nephews, Heath and Alex Korcinsky, and longtime girlfriend Nancy Yassa. David made anywhere he was more fun and will be sadly missed by his family and numerous friends.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A service and interment at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver will be private. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
