David A. Scarsella

David A. Scarsella Sr. age 70, passed on Sunday 17 Oct 2021 in East Liverpool, Ohio. David was born 30 Oct 1950 to Donald “Chuck” Scarsella and Mary Scarsella. He graduated from Midland High School in 1969. Following graduation, David was drafted to the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. On 26 May 1970, David married Janice Ann Woodward Scarsella. They celebrated 51 years of marriage. Upon discharge from the Army, David went to work at J & L Steel Mill. In 1985 David enroll in the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. Upon graduation in 1987 he enlisted in the Air National Guard assigned to the 171st Air Refueling Wing. David retired in 2010 at the rank of Master Sargent. He was an avid hunter, trap shooter and Facebook offender. David loved his family and friends. He was always there for those that needed him. David was accompanied in death by his loving wife of 51 years Janice Ann Woodward Scarsella. David was preceded in death by his infant son John Aaron Scarsella, his parents Chuck and Mary Scarsella, his father-in-law Luther “Woody” Woodward, mother-in-law Ruth Ann Burns Woodward, his brothers-in-law Luther “Juney” Woodward, John Lyle and Ron White. David is survived in death by his son Dave Scarsella, Dave’s wife Teresa, his son Matt Scarsella, his five grandchildren Austin, Bradley, Hannah, Rebecca and Toni Lynn, his 4 great grandchildren Bentley, Lincoln, Everley and Atleigh, his brother Chuckie Scarsella (Peggy), his sisters Carol Flowers and Marilyn Scarsella, his sister-in-law Caroline Scarsella, Jackie Lyle, Robbie Lovejoy (Eugene), JoAnne White, Julie Hutchinson and Joanie Woodward and his brother-in-law Tim Stewart, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, his beloved cats Mouse and Zoey and granddog Bo. Family and friends will be received at Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave, Midland Pa on Monday October 25, 2021, from 4pm until the time of service at the funeral home at 7pm.
