David P. Slovan, 56, of Chippewa Township passed away after a courageous two year battle with cancer, Friday, September 25, 2015 at Heritage Valley, Beaver, with his wife and daughter at his side.
Born November 22, 1958 in Farrell, he was the son of the late Eli and Martha Slovan, he was a resident of Chippewa Township for the past 27 years, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a retired Front Line Manager for the Federal Aviation Agency at Pittsburgh International Airport. David also served as an occasional instructor with the Air Traffic Control Program at CCBC in Monaca, and was a member of the Beaver Baptist Church, Brighton Township.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Victoria (Campoli) Slovan, a daughter and her husband, Elizabeth and Matthew Lee, San Francisco, two brothers, Philip Slovan, Texas, and John Slovan, Hermitage, two sisters, Lynn Reeher, Mercer, and Elyse “Susie” Rossi, Hermitage, two nephews, Jeffery and Matthew Reeher, and a niece, Jennifer Slovan.
As per David’s wishes, cremation services took place with a memorial service to be conducted at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be share at nollfuneral.com.
