David "Dave" W. Etzel Sr.

David “Dave” W. Etzel Sr., 75, of Beaver passed away on January 4, 2019 in his home.

Born on October 14, 1943 in Rochester to Betty Rechel and the late William Etzel, he was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Beaver where he was on the Welcoming Committee. Dave was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a board member at the Baden American Legion #641, and an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

Along with his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Linda Etzel; two daughters Wendi (Brad) Caldwell of Cranberry, and Jenni (Justin) Halterman of Mt. Pleasant; a son D.J. (Amy) Etzel of Rochester, New Hampshire; two grandchildren, Levi Halterman and Bailey Caldwell; two sisters, Sue Rothstein, and Nancy Halfhill; a brother, Jay Etzel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Rechel.

Friends will be received on Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 2p-4p and 6p-8p in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver PA 15009, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday January 10, 2019 at 10:30am conducted by Pastor Ron Cepek, followed by full Military Rites conducted by the Beaver County Special Unit. The Baden American Legion #641 will gather at the funeral home Wednesday night for a service at 6pm. Online Condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com .

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dave’s name to the Baden American Legion #641 271 State St, Baden, PA 15005

As per Dave’s request, everyone is asked to wear either your favorite Pittsburgh sports team shirt, or your military uniform.
