Born February 6, 1933, in Huntington, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Claude Havens and Virgie Havens Yacynyk. She was a member of St. Blaise Church in Midland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Anthony “Skinny” Barney; son, Gary Barney, sister, Helen Bahm and niece Rose Presutti.

At home Deloris enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. She was also an avid card-player and loved going to the casino. Both she and her husband Skinny were very social people. They loved fishing and bowling with their family and friends. For much of their lives, they spent summers camping at Mosquito Lake in Cortland, Ohio, making many friends there.
