Diane Kosanovich Sortino, of Midland, PA passed away Thursday evening, December 17, 2020 at Concordia, Villa St. Joseph, Baden. Born on December 18, 1944, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Milan and Mildred Kosanovich, a resident of Midland for the past 7 years, she was a faithful and active member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. Diane had worked as a chef at her husband’s restaurant, Sortino’s Restaurant and Lounge in Dormont, PA. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Ralph Sortino in 2012; a beloved daughter, Dana Lynn Shinko in 2016; brothers, Dush, Rudy, George, and Milan Kosanovich, sisters, Olga and Mary Kosanovich; and a great-grandson, Brody Vincent Werry. Diane will be sadly missed by her son, Vincent M. (Kristin) Sortino, of Dormont; her sister-in-law, Pat Kosanovich, of Beaver; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Sortino, Tennessee, and Douglas Sortino, Dormont, PA, her grandchildren, Nina (Pedro) Ortiz, Paula (Mike) Werry, Nicole (Eric) Davis, Brittany (Michael) Greathouse, Vincent Jr. (Mallory) Sortino, Stephanie Sortino, and Alyssa Sortino; nine great-grandchildren, and anxiously awaiting a new great-grandson Saturday December 19. Diane is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation period will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service conducted by her priest, Father Dejan Barac, at 2:00 pm in the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 10 Tenth St, Midland. Private interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Hazelwood, Pittsburgh. Professional Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver PA 15009.
