Dolores “Dee” Barkich

Dolores “Dee” Barkich 89, of Beaver, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday October 28, 2017.

Born April 7, 1928 in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L and Mildred G. Shields. She was a 1946 graduate of Rochester High School. Due to persons returning from the service she had to work a year before college. She went to Garfield Business School in Beaver Falls and then enrolled at Muskingum College, New Concord, Ohio where she spent two years.  She was employed by Westinghouse Electric Co., Beaver, for 9 years and then Hussey Metals, Leetsdale, PA for 4 years.

Dolores was a life member, Past Matron and Past District Deputy of The Woodlawn Chapter, No. 164 (formerly Naomi Chapter) of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years James J. Barkich, her daughter Marci Lynn (Rev Gerald) Dodds, Oscoda, MI, her grandchildren Caitlin (Gray) Gustafson of  Bogota, Columbia, Colleen of Columbus,OH, Jonathan of Grove City PA, David of Grand Rapids, MI, Lydia of Oscoda MI, one great grand-daughter Ingrid Gustafson and also her brother JohnW. Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver.  A funeral service will be conducted at Noll Funeral Home in Beaver at 11:00am on Wednesday November 1 ^st , 2017.
