Dolores Hogsett

Dolores Banks Hogsett, 94, long-time resident of Beaver, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Tapestry Senior Living in Moon Township, PA surrounded by her family. Born December 31, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Gustave and Julia Owens Wolfarth Banks. A Beaver resident for 71 years, she was a 1943 graduate of West View High School, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh Secretarial School. Dolores worked for Hagen Corporation and Calgon Company, was a secretary for the Beaver Area School District, and retired as a continuing education secretary from Penn State Beaver Campus in 1986. She was a faithful member of Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver, singing in the choir for over 50 years and a member of the Homebuilders Sunday School class. Dolores had been a docent at the Beaver Area Heritage Museum, and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Robert) Hamsher, Moon Township, and Marci (Greg) Sebastian, Clearwater, FL, and a son, Glen (Barb) Hogsett, Clearwater, FL; five grandchildren, Megan Hamsher, Jason (Catherine) Sebastian, Cara Sebastian, Kirstin (Rich) Lukas, and Lauren Hogsett; three great-granddaughters, Lucy Sebastian, Hattie Lukas and Leela Sebastian, one great-grandson, Wesley Lukas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ralph S. Hogsett, a sister Jewell and a brother Arthur. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 4, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Robert Goossen at Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver, Thursday March 5, 2020, at 11:00 AM. A private interment at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park will follow. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
