Dominica Bertram

Dominica “Mamie” Bertram of Canton, OH, formerly of Beaver, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 with her family at her side.

She was born June 19, 1931 to Eleuntario and Teresa Piroli Morocco in the Logstown section of Aliquippa. Mamie, as she was affectionately known, was a long time resident of Beaver County, retiring from Friendship Ridge Geriatric Center. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her love for her “girls” and their families, and her generosity with her culinary talents. Many were blessed with her containers of soup when they were ill. Dominica was a member of the Christian Mothers and was very active with various clubs when her girls were growing up in Center Township. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who loved her and will miss her hugs and kisses.

Dominica is survived by three daughters, Georgia (David) Mendes, Gail Grey, and Roberta Bertram McGowan, one brother, Frank Morocco, two sisters, Christina Sheldon and Eleanor Cater, a son-in-law, Robert McGowan, along with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter Amelia Bertram, five brothers, Robert, Daniel, Elmer, James, and Dominic, and three sisters, Gloria, Margie, and Dora.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver. All arrangements are being handled by the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
