Don E. Warnes

Don E. Warnes, 94 of Beaver passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Concordia at Villa St., Joseph, with his family at his side. Born April 29, 1927 in Sugarcreek, Ohio, he was a son of the late George W. & Bessie Warnes and was a proud veteran of the US Navy having served during WW II. Don was a graduate of Case University in Cleveland and was a Chemical Engineer having worked for St. Joe Lead Co., in 1952 and continuing his career through St. Joe Minerals, ZCA, and Fluor retiring as a General Superintendent. He had been a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Monaca, where he was the financial secretary and member of the “money counters” as well as the church choir. He later joined Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Beaver after his wife retired as Redeemer’s church organist. Don’s passion was his gardening, his beautiful gardens at home were well known in Beaver, he had his own loom and enjoyed weaving, playing cards, Bocce, reading and spending time with his beloved family. Don was a hard worker and was always willing to help out in any way. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Pauline Warnes on May 3, 2009, and a son-in-law, William Seyboth on April 19, 2020. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Seyboth, Kansas City, MO, Cindy Schwarz, Beaver, a son, Bruce (Marjorie) Warnes, Beaver, special family members, Robert Nicgorski, and Lee Adams, both of Beaver, 6 grandchildren, Kristin (Patrick Lamers) Seyboth, Evergreen. CO, Kathryn Seyboth, Windsor, CT, Natalie (Donald) Schwarz Altemus, Center Twp., PA, John Warnes, Beaver, Jeff (Kayla) Warnes, Beaver, Melanie (Kevin) Peffer, Greeley, CO, 6 great grandchildren, Damien & Elodie Lamars, Lucas & Diana Seyboth, Ember Warnes, Felix Peffer, and Don was anxiously awaiting the birth of a great grandson in April who will be named Nolan Altemus. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11;00 am at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Beaver followed by full military rites by the Beaver County Special Unit. Private interment will take place at the Beaver Cemetery. Arrangements are being conducted by the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC, 333 THIRD ST BEAVER. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
