Donald Carl Kathary

Donald Carl “Sonny” Kathary, 84, of Center Twp., passed away at Heritage Valley Beaver, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, with his family by his side.

Born on May 4, 1941, in Marietta, Ohio, Don was the son of the late Carl and Anna Kathary. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, and had worked and retired from Conrail after nearly 40 years. He was a member of the Slippery Rock Camp Ground, where he enjoyed spending a majority of his summers for the past 40 years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Along with his parents, Don is preceded in death by his loving wife Frances M. Kathary; brother, Robert Kathary; twin sister, Virginia Laughlin; mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Lawrence Huffman.

Don will be greatly missed by daughters Crystal (Gregory) Conjeski, Beaver, and Tina (James) Lowman, Plum; grandchildren, Michael (Whitney) Conjeski, Eric (Maggie) Conjeski, and Colton (Cassie Wiles) Lowman; great-grandchildren, Benjamin (Emily Szczesny) Conjeski, Alexia Conjeski, and Zackary Conjeski; brother-in-law, Robert Laughlin; sister, Cindy (Bryan) Scott; his faithful four-legged companion, Susie-Q as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009, on Thursday February 12, 2026 from 3pm until the time of service at 5:30pm. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
