Donald L. Wilson, 68, of Brighton Twp., passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, April 25, 2020.
Born August 17, 1951 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late William and Edith Wilson. A resident of Brighton Twp. most of his life, Donald retired as a welder with the maintenance department at Valspar, Rochester, after a 46-year career. In his spare time, Donald could be found outdoors, where he loved to fish, hunt, hike, camp, and nap. He was also active with the Ft. McIntosh Garrison, Habitat for Humanity, and formerly, the Boy Scouts. Donald was a faithful and active member of the Chapel Presbyterian (PCA) Church, lending a helping hand whenever he could.
Donald will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Mary Hall Wilson, Brighton Twp.; sons, Andrew (Tonya Scott) Wilson, and Pete (Renee) Wilson, all of Brighton Twp.; daughters, Erin (Clifton) McFatridge, Burleson, TX, and Sarah Checca, Industry; two brothers, William (Sharon) Wilson, Homer City, and Eugene (Mary) Wilson, Robinson; and eight grandchildren, Tyler, Daniel, Jessica, Lucas, Hayden, and Tanner Wilson, Trenton Mackert, and Sadie Checca.
As per Donald’s wishes, a Celebration of Life at Chapel Presbyterian (PCA) Church will be announced at a later date. Professional services have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
